New Israel Fund Human Rights Award Winners 2009

Anat Hoffman of the Israel Religious Action Centre received her award for representing NIF’s achievements in Human and Civil Rights and Religious Pluralism, and Helmi Kitani of the Centre for Jewish-Arab Economic Development represented NIF’s achievements in Human and Civil Rights for Israel’s Arab Citizens. These two outstanding Israeli activists working in the field of human and civil rights were honoured at New Israel Fund’s Human Rights Awards Dinner on 30th November 2009 in London. Against all Odds

New Israel Fund, together with Channel Two in Israel, produced a documentary series bringing Israel’s future social leaders to attention. The series is called “Against All The Odds” and it tells the stories of social change activists who, with the assistance from New Israel Fund and SHATIL, have empowered themselves and their surroundings, and by so doing have brought a ray of hope to their communities and Israeli society in general.
