David Horovitz
On 24th February, David Horovitz, editor-in-chief of Haaretz joined us from Israel to launch our 2005 campaign at the Royal Aeronautical Society in West London in what turned out to be a sizzling evening. Chaired by the always dynamic and provocative Jonathan Freedland of the Guardian, David gave his comprehensive view of the situation in Israel with the unique insight that his position in Israeli society allows. As usual, the evening evolved into a lively discussion brought about by the provocative and well-informed questions from some of the 250- strong audience.
The major launch was followed by a series of niche forums including an intimate breakfast for city supporters at Bevis Marks; a new forum for our Canary Wharf supporters which was held at the Docklands museum; and a lively dinner at Saatchi Synagogue for over 100 guests.
