So Sushi?

Come and join us for an evening that will feed your body and your mind.

Did you know that Tel Aviv has the third-highest number of sushi restaurants per square mile in the world? London prides itself on being one of the world’s most cosmopolitan cities – but behind every roll of sushi is the person who made it. In London, the underdogs of our economy keep the city ticking over, washing our plates and cleaning our offices.

Ellen Goldberg, Chief Executive of the New Israel Fund, and Matthew Bolton from the Strangers into Citizens campaign will be discussing exactly what role undocumented migrant workers play in these two dynamic cities.

Sushi will be provided courtesy of Metsuyan.

Ellen Goldberg has worked for New Israel Fund for 8 years, 6 of which in Israel, and as Executive Director in the UK since 2007. She has 20 years’ experience developing social and health services in Israel, especially for Israel’s immigrants, elderly and children at risk. Prior to that Ellen worked in the US with migrant farm workers and in the planning and evaluation of America’s social welfare programmes.
