Daniel Levy, one of J Street's advisors, will be in conversation with David Newman, Professor of Political Geography in the Department of Politics and Government at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, and with Francesca Klug, LSE professor and Director of the Human Rights Futures project, which explores and analyses the future direction of human rights discourse.
Francesca Klug is a Professorial Research Fellow at the LSE and Director of the Human Rights Futures Project. She is based in the Centre for the Study of Global Governance and is a Senior Research Associate at the Centre for the Study of Human Rights. She is a trustee of the Campaign for Freedom of Information. Francesca was awarded an OBE for services to human rights and civil justice in the 2002 new year's honours list. Francesca is a frequent broadcaster and has written widely on human rights, including Values for a Godless Age: the story of the UK Bill of Rights.
David Newman is Professor of Political Geography in the Department of Politics and Government at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Israel. In 2007, Professor Newman was appointed the formal representative of Israel for all matters relating to a potential academic boycott. His main brief is to develop and strengthen academic and scientific links between Israel and the UK.
They share with us their assessment of the present situation and their thoughts on what lies ahead.
