Court Orders Husband to Compensate “Aguna” in Precedent Ruling
In a precedent
setting ruling, the Tel Aviv District Court has awarded over £100,000
compensation to an aguna - a woman whose husband is refusing to give her
a divorce. The woman is being represented by NIF grantee Centre for Women’s
Justice.

Kiryat Shmona Receives Fair Fans Award
The
fans of Israeli football team Hapoel Kiryat Shmona have been awarded the NIF
prize for the fairest fans in the first half of the 2010/2011 season. The award
was presented in a televised pre-match ceremony.
