Message from our Chief Executive, Adam Ognall

As I reflect back on my first year with New Israel Fund, one key lesson that stands out is that NIF is at its best when it is at its boldest – being innovative, building partnerships and not being afraid to tackle difficult issues.

Public Outcry as Israelis Mobilise to Defend Democracy

Proposals to legislate against the funding of Israel social justice and human rights organisations have been temporarily halted by Prime Minister Netanyahu.

This follows a public outcry in Israel, international pressure and criticism by the Attorney General.

NIF Stands Up for Women

As part of the campaign to restore the sight and sound of women to the public sphere in Israel, more than 500 people packed Hamashbir Plaza in downtown Jerusalem to hear some of Israel's finest female singers.

First Posters go up for “Women Should be Seen and Heard” Campaign

NIF has been running a highly successful international poster campaign aiming to put women in the public eye. NIF has been asking supporters to submit photos proclaiming that women should be seen and heard. These images are being incorporated into photo montages that will be hung in public places around Jerusalem. You can view the amazing collection here. The issue has been headline news in Israel, the UK and US.

NIF Spreads the Light for Hanukah and combats far-right extremism

In response to the growing phenomena of far-right ‘Price Tag’ attacks, NIF is gearing up for our high-profile Hanukah campaign.
